The Best Foods For Sexy Skin

When it comes to natural skincare, you don’t need a bunch of expensive products to look gorgeous. All you need is food. Well, the right foods. When applied topically, certain organic foods can feed your skin, leaving you feeling all over moisturized and refreshed. Some foods can even cure skin irritations, like redness, dryness and eczema. Others can prevent and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Keep a supply of these five foods on hand for naturally sexy skin.1. Avocado

Avocadoes are good for so much more than just guacamole. Rich in skin-nourishing vitamins A, D and E, these luscious green fruits are super moisturizing for our skin. Avocadoes even contain oils similar to our own skin’s oils. When applied topically, they can help heal a variety of skin issues, especially redness, dryness and irritation. Make a simple avocado facial mask by mashing a ripe avocado and mixing it with a bit of oatmeal. Apply the mixture to your face and wash it off after 15-20 minutes. You’ll look good wearing green—and your skin will love it.

2. Pomegranate

The exotic pomegranate is a sexy fruit in itself—no wonder it can help give you sexy skin too. Pomegranate juice stimulates collagen production and helps fight free radicals to keep skin looking youthful. To use this superfruit in your skin care routine, add pomegranate juice to your favorite body scrub. Or, try this recipe: Combine 1 cup raw organic sugar, ½ cup organic extra virgin olive oil and a few tablespoons organic pomegranate juice. Use the scrub in the shower or bath to buff away dead skin cells and enliven tired skin.

3. Chocolate

No, don’t go chomp on a Snickers—that won’t do your skin any favors. Dark or raw chocolate is the way to go. Rich in antioxidants, the cocoa in dark and raw chocolate can help fight skin-damaging free radicals, which may prevent lines, wrinkles and discoloration on skin. Chocolate can also help improve skin’s hydration. To really indulge, try our Organic Chocolate & Honey Nourishing Facial Mask. Filled with wholesome, skin-loving ingredients—and a lot of chocolatey goodness—your skin will feel pampered and uber-moisturized after this facial.

4. Olive oil

Oils are excellent for skin. They’re super hydrating, and even though you’d think slathering on oil would make your skin even oilier, it actually balances out your skin’s natural levels of oiliness and dryness. There are lots of lovely organic oil options out there: jojoba, argan and baobab to name a few. The only downside is that these oils can get a tad pricey. Instead, head to your kitchen cupboard and grab the olive oil. You can use olive oil just like any moisturizing oil. Rub it on after a shower or bath to soak in moisture. Olive oil is also fabulous for removing make up.

5. Yogurt

Scrumptious organic yogurt is more than a tasty breakfast—it’s a skincare multi-tasker. When applied topically, yogurt can help moisturize, fight acne, prevent premature aging, relieve sunburn and reduce skin discoloration. Use yogurt as a facial mask every so often to moisturize skin. Simply slather it onto your face, let it sit for 15-20 minutes and then rinse it off. The lactic acid in yogurt helps dissolve dead skin and tighten pores, helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
